In order to reach our academic goal, we chose certain curriculums. These curriculums include objectives our teachers base their teaching upon. The curriculums are listed below.
School levels:
- Level 0 (Beginners)
This level is for the beginners who do not yet know their alphabet, or who know less than 12 letters. Teachers in this level will focus on teaching the alphabet shapes for all the letters as well. Teachers will use creative ways to reach the level goals and different ways depending on the students age. Students must be able to recognize all the letters and the letters shapes, spell the letters correctly not in alphabetical order, and their first name.
- Level 0+ (Advanced)
This level is for the students who know their letters. In this level, we will work on short and long vowels, Sukoon, Shaddah, Tanween, taa Marbotah, alif Maqsorah, moon and sun al. Also, we will be studying the special ways of the writing in the Quran, like the 2 letters on top of each other. The students in this level will be able to read words and short sentence. Students must be able to connect the letters, spell words, and write their first and last name.
- Level 1
This level is for the students who know how to read and know the basic skills of writing. Teachers will focus on improving the students reading and writing skills by using the words and conversations in the book. Also, teachers will be encouraged to use reading materials, Surahs from the Quran, and paragraphs to help reach this levels goals. Students in this level will start working on the basic grammar that they will need to use in Arabic in order to improve their conversation skills.
- Level 1 +(Advanced)
Students in this level should read more frequently for small and big paragraphs. Also in this level, students must know how to read from the Quran without assistance. Also, they will need to be able to write correctly. Students in this level will continue working on basic grammar. Students at the end of this level will be able to read a paragraph from a page in less than 2 minutes.
- Level 2
The students in this level will be able to read fluently from big paragraphs from a page or more. Students need to be able to write without assistance too. Students will continue working on improving their reading from the Quran.
- Level 2+(Advanced)
This level means the students have full improvements in reading and writing, independent and fluency. Students need to be able to use some giving vocabulary to write a small paragraph in Arabic. Students also need to master how to read from the Quran so they can memorize independently. Students in this level will need to have mastered all grammar verbally and implement it in the paragraph.
Note: The Level 2 book will be divided for three levels for students younger than 10 years old.
- Level 3
In this level will be working on more improvement on reading and writing for bigger paragraphs. Reading in this level needs to be in high fluency and writing too. We will also continue learning grammar, for example, students’ needs to tell why and when some nouns in Arabic end with ِ but another end with ُ.
- Level 3 +(Advance)
This level is the highest level in our school for now. The reading, writing, and grammar will be mostly advanced. Students will practice how to identify all of what they have learned in past levels. Students also need to master how to write paragraphs or to generate conversations independently. Students in level 3 and 3+ must be able to write essays without assistance.
